Learners must drag and drop in the right order to get the exercise right. I currently have a "sequence"-based drag and drop activity. It's also due to the fact that Captivate can't even DO what I want some things to do, and I don't find out because the answer isn't readily out there.Īn example of an inquiry I had recently was. But now I'm stuck in my "advanced" searches that aren't coming up with any solutions, mostly because anything that's free on the internet is basic/beginner stuff, or maybe because my terminology is wrong. So I've had Adobe Captivate 8 for a while already and my previous plan for learning how to use it was, "When I think of something I want to learn how to do, I'll just google / YouTube the solution!" That worked for a while. I think the teacher expects some really pretty PowerPoints or YouTube videos. I'm even taking Multimedia Learning and the semester project is to make a "multimedia based instruction" but there aren't any training courses offered on how to physically do that. This program is really helping me figure how to structure my instruction.īut I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed that Captivate or Storyline or any other e-learning program wasn't in a "required software" list for a certain class. It's my first semester, and the majority of my classes are about the theory behind the construction of instructional material - which is great, don't get me wrong! It's the main reason I chose to go after a Master's as opposed to just building a portfolio and hoping for the best. I'm currently in the process of acquiring my Master's degree in IDT.
